Here is example of what we were able to do for one of DDC's long time customer:

     A telecom manager had called to ask Dave if he could help her with a recurring call routing problem with their old long distance provider. After working with the old long distance provider for many months and not being able to fix the call routing, Dave suggested that they looked at a new service provider. The telecom manager provided Dave with a copy of long distance, local, and internet bills, from three different providers.

     DDC staff uses the bills and a tech on site to identify what type of voice lines and circuits the customer is using. During this process we identified 7 old modem lines that were not being used lines, 37 local Centrex lines, and a voice T-1 that was being under used. They had a 512k T-1 for data that did not meet their internet needs.

     Dave put together a solution that provided one bill for all service, flexible efficient voice package and increase data speed. DDC recommended was to replace the voice T-1 with a PRI ISDN circuit and 15 POTS lines. A PRI is a digital circuit that allows up to 23 incoming or outgoing talk paths at one time. Two other key features that the PRI provided was Caller ID and DID numbers. DID (Direct Inward Dialing) allow people and/or departments to have their own telephone number that uses one of the available circuits on the PRI. In order to handle the analog line needs a block of 15 POTS lines was suggested (fire alarm, security, a modem, and faxes). As part of this solution they would get a 960k T-1 of internet.

The best part of this upgraded solution was a 47% monthly saving, which created an annual saving of over $21,000.
